[Area adherents of "Creative
Consciousness," a program teaching participants how to make the
most of their individual potential, have announced plans for a
New Jersey seminar in the program April 46 at the Panther Valley
Conference Center near Allamuchy.
Registration at the conference
center, on Route 519 just off the Interstate Route 80 interchange at
Allamuchy, will be at 5:30 p.m. April 4. Sessions will be held from 6
p.m. until midnight April 4 and from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. April 5 and 6.
An introductory presentation on Creative Consciousness will be held
at the Howard Johnson Motor Lodge on Route 22, Phillipsburg, from 2
to 4 p.m. March 22.
According to the program's literature, it teaches
techniques to maximize mental productivity, improves memory*
increases problem-solving potential and ability to make quick
decisions, releases a person's creative ability, helps in
communication with others and develops proper relaxation.
The group
also plans sponsorship of two classes in Reiki healing by Mrs. Hawayo
Takata of Hawaii in June.
Classes will be held June 1-4 at the home
of Nick Siderides at 20 Brookdale Court in Cherry Hill and June 5-8
at the home of Jean Perry, Jane's Chapel Road, Oxford R.D.
Each class
will be limited to 30 and will be open to the public but priority
will be given to Creative Consciousness graduates if more than 30
persons apply for each class. The hosts for the classes, or Mrs.
Alice Picking of Jane's Chapel Road, Oxford, one of the two New
Jersey coordinators for Creative Consciousness, may be contacted for
registration.
There is a fee of $125.
Mrs. Tak(a)ta, who is 74, is
Hawaii's only Reiki master, learning the healing art in 1935 in Japan
after it had been applied successfully in treatment of her problems
with asthma in 1935. She has practiced Reiki in Hawaii 39 years with
clients who have included Barbara Hutton and Doris Duke.
According to
Mrs. Takata, Reiki "helps attain health, happiness and security
which leads to the road of longevity",. She says the method,
applied with the hands, uses cosmic energy to heal the ill and that
"an unseen spiritual power radiates vibrations and lifts one
into harmony."
In an interview in Hawaii, she said she believes
a dynamic force from the divine spirit governs the world and the
universe and is available to anyone interested in learning the art of
healing.
Mrs. Takata, who said she has played golf every morning for
30 days*, lectures at the University of Hawaii, is writing a book and
hopes to build a Reiki center on land she owns in Olaa, near
Kurtistown in Hawaii.]
